Lisa Keegan is based the Midlands and has been painting for the last 5 years. Her style has evolved over the past year and much of her work can be best described as Pop Art.Her work is steadily gaining popularity in the Irish art market and her latest paintings can be found in a number of galleries around Ireland.
Her subject matter is reminiscent of Pop Art, including everyday materials and branded products. Pop Art is a style of art which explores the everyday imagery that is so much a part of contemporary consumer culture. Her paintings often depict icons from popular culture. Lisa also has an interest in representing nostalgic objects, drawing humor and a sense of familiarity that makes people smile.
‘I find my sources in everyday things and in colours and shapes that I think will bring pleasure to a viewer. I paint subjects that I feel will strike a chord with people, whether this is through evoking memories or just providing some humour through everyday objects’
