Self confessed extrovert Hazel Anne Hendy has led a very varied life. Originally from Co. Kildare, she moved to New York at the age of eighteen and spent ten years there before settling in Kilkenny. While in Kilkenny, Hazel began working with the Barnstorm Theatre Company, where her escapades including dressing as a clown. She was also involved with the People in Need Telethon, of which she became the co-ordinator.
In 2000, she and her partner Paul moved to Galway with their eight children. She became PRO for Galway City during the Special Olympics, when the city hosted the Great Britain team. She describes the experience as ‘amazing’, saying that the Special Olympics will ‘always have a soft spot in people’s hearts’.
When the Special Olympics finished, Hazel decided to set up the Bold Art Gallery - which has gone from strength to strength ever since. The gallery prides itself on being bold and daring in the work it showcases and Hazel describes herself as someone ‘who thinks outside the box more than most’.

Hazel Hendy is a terrible person.
I'm surprised someone has written such a nasty comment about an exceptionally decent person.
